Why Did We Make a Toddlers’ & Kids' Multivitamin?

Lack of Safe & Effective Options

One of the biggest challenges facing parents today is finding safe and effective products that they feel comfortable giving to their children.

As pediatricians, pediatric dietitians and parents, each day we hear countless patients complain about the taste, unhealthy ingredients, choking hazards, and incomplete nutrients of other supplement brands and keep asking us for recommendations regarding kids multivitamins.

FAQ

Experts say that over 90% of children don’t eat the recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables. EllaOla helps with bridging the gap on your children’s nutritional needs without the sugar and fillers from gummy multivitamins. Please consult your doctor or pediatrician before taking a multivitamin.
Experts have found that 98% of kids consume far too much added sugar. Too much sugar can affect your child's mood, activity and hyperactivity levels. Studies show excess sugar has negative impact on academic performance, learning and memory.
Typical children’s vitamins can contain up to 6 grams of sugar.
Our multivitamin is made with 20 essential vitamins and minerals and 14 fruits and vegetables with zero added sugar. We developed with a team of Harvard pediatricians and nutritionists to fill in the nutritional gaps. It is vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, non-GMO with no artificial flavors, colorings or gummy junk.
Our stickpacks can be mixed into your kids’ favorite drink or food such as yogurt, milk, oatmeal, a small glass of water, lemonade, apple sauce, pudding or other soft solids options.
We suggest that your child takes one vitamin per day either mixed with liquid or food of your choice such as yogurt, milk, water, juice.
The % Daily Value (DV) is listed on labels of food or multivitamins. It indicates how much nutrients a single serving of a food or supplement provides.
The RDA is the Recommended Daily Amount (RDA) of nutrients your child should consume per day. RDAs are developed by the Food and Nutrition Board at the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies. If your child falls below the RDA, your child may be lacking in certain vitamins and minerals which could result in stunted growth, lethargy, poor eating habits and lack of concentration. Please consult your doctor or pediatrician if you believe your child is deficient in certain vitamins.

Gummy vitamins can be filled with pork-based additives that are derived from pork skin, beef skin or beef bones. As with other sweets, these fillers can be stuck in your child’s teeth and contribute to cavities in the teeth. Children are likely to be drawn to the sweet taste and candy-like consistency of gummy vitamins and can be easy to overeat.

As a multivitamin powder, we have more vitamins and minerals than a gummy or stickpack which can include additional fillers to retain their shape and form. Our multivitamin is made with 20 essential vitamins and minerals and 14 fruits and vegetables with zero added sugar.

Chewable tablets may potentially be a choking hazard for your kids. Children under the age of 4 are at a high risk of choking while eating. Young children are still learning how to chew food properly, and they often swallow their food whole. Their small airways can become easily blocked by small round objects if not chewed properly.

Children may not like the taste of a chewable tablet, but mixing our powder with your child’s favorite food, your child can get the daily nutrients they need without noticing they are taking a vitamin!

Yes, while gummies often require taking up to four gummies a day for the daily serving, each single EllaOla stickpack is designed to contain a full range of nutrients for your child. Please speak to your pediatrician on any questions about dosage.
Our kids multivitamins are designed for all children ages 4 and up. As a multivitamin powder, it can provide a wider range of vitamins, minerals and nutrients and it can be added to any food or drink without choking hazards.
We manufacture our vitamins in the USA with the highest quality ingredients sourced around the world. Our manufacturing facility is cGMP-compliant and certified for the highest standards.
